Message from Board President:
Your work with families impacts your communities, Kansas, and the nation. Whether you are an Early Childhood Educator in your home or in a classroom, a Home Visitor, Parent Educator, Case Manager, Therapist or a Policy and Program Administrator, KAIMH seeks to become a professional resource to support your growth and competence. The quality of relationships you engender and nurture not only with children and families but with other professionals enhances healthy social and emotional well-being. The KAIMH Board seeks to lead us in this work by building relationships with you and with agencies in Kansas that build a strong early childhood system.
In recent years the importance of healthy early relationships has become evident. Early relationships form the foundation for our economic security and overall prosperity and quality of life. Competence in your work is imperative to realizing great opportunities.
These are exciting times. KAIMH is collaborating with the KS Head Start Association, Child Care Aware® of Kansas and the Kansas Parents As Teachers Association to convene a conference in the Spring of 2017 in Topeka. This conference represents an opportunity for a diverse group of professionals to come together around a common goal – a solid foundation for strong, healthy, resilient citizens.
